EXHUMED: California Horror Hellions Kick Off Fall Tour

Today, California’s favorite death-laden horror hellions, EXHUMED, will take their sonic debauchery to the streets for a Fall run of US live invasions with extreme metal technicians Carcass and manic death thrashers Noisem. Set to commence in San Diego tonight at Brick By Brick, the Inked In Steel Tour 2014 will conquer nearly two dozen municipalities with additional audio infiltrations from death metal legends Obituary and Macabre on select dates. From there EXHUMED will return to Europe for further live devastation alongside Aborted, Origin and Miasmal.See confirmed shows below.
Comments guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey, “We’ve been sequestered in our grimy rehearsal room, taking time out of our busy schedules of soul-crushing day jobs and DUI classes to tighten up our set for our upcoming US and European runs, and we’re getting seriously psyched for them! Our newest member, Matt ‘Slime’ Ferri is working out great on bass and vocals and we’ve got some killer new elements for our show that should make it an unsafe and insane way to spend your evening. See you in the Gore Zone, mutants!”

EXHUMED released their globally revered Necrocracy full-length via Relapse Records last Summer.Monopolizing 2013 year end lists both stateside and abroad, the record came in at #24 on Decibel’s Top 40 list and #11 on the New Noise’s Top 100 Metal & Rock Albums of 2013. Crowned one of 2013’s “best death/goregrind releases,” by About.com, and, “the feel-good gore-grind album of the year,” by Orlando Weekly, Necrocracy is a grade A, head crusher and among the band’s most well-executed, conceptually absorbing recording of their winding catalog and repugnance.
“Matt Harvey and his merry maniacs know exactly what they’re doing, and have spent 20-odd years perfecting their poisonous formula. The riffs still bludgeon, the snare still snaps, and the dual vocal assault still growls and yelps with the best of them. The wailing solos and brilliant flashes of melodic death metal perfection are a welcome addition, as is their maturing approach to songwriting.” – Pitchfork
“The album seethes with vitriol, visceral shredding and thunderous grooves and it yields not a dull moment across its 29 minutes…” – Outburn
“This is death metal the way it should be, but hardly is anymore: complex but still compact, well-played without being wanky, brutal without going to ridiculous extremes, and listenable, if not inviting, in spite of its inherent ghastliness. Necrocracy kills, plain and simple.” – Metal Insider
